Cherry tincture is a drink of a rather high strength, with a pleasant taste. Anyone can cook it, the recipe is quite simple and does not require special skills.
It is necessary
-
- cherry;
- sugar;
- vodka.
Instructions
Step 1
Take 1 kilogram of whole ripe cherries, rinse well in cold water and remove the stalks. Dry the berries carefully, being careful not to damage them. To do this, use a colander or place them on a paper towel for about 10-15 minutes. Be sure to sort out the berries and remove those unsuitable for cooking: those with defects, wrinkled and wormy.
Step 2
Thoroughly wash the jars in which the cherries will be infused, it is best to use sterile jars for this (bottles can also be used, but they must be with a wide neck so that you can easily get the berries from them). Put the cherries up to the neck, sprinkling with sugar (the amount of sugar can be less or more than the indicated proportions, depending on how sweet the tincture you want to get). After that, cover the neck of the jar with clean gauze and tie it with a cord or twine to prevent insects attracted by the smell (ants, bees, etc.) from entering the container.
Step 3
Place containers (jars or bottles) in a warm place or in the sun, for example, on a windowsill for a month and a half. After the expiration of time, decant the secreted juice. Add chilled boiled water and vodka to it, proportions to juice 1: 1: 2. Shake the mixture and pour it into clean bottles in which it will be stored later. Before use, it is necessary to keep the tincture in bottles for at least a week. Serve the infusion on the table, it is best to pre-chill it in the refrigerator. If you need to reduce the strength of the drink, immediately before use, dilute the tincture with natural or store juice, of course cherry juice is best.
