For cooking, you can use not very fresh cottage cheese, which is no longer recommended to be consumed without heat treatment. Curd balls or donuts are fried in a large amount of vegetable oil.
To make cottage cheese balls, you will need the following products:
- cottage cheese - 250-300 g;
- sugar - 5-6 tablespoons;
- egg - 1 pc.;
- wheat flour - 1, 5 tbsp.;
- soda - 0.5 tsp;
- rast. deep fat oil.
Combine sugar, cottage cheese, egg, soda in a bowl. Add flour and knead the dough with your hands. Leave it at room temperature for 20 minutes. Pour vegetable oil into a deep fryer or deep skillet and place over medium heat. Roll the dough into sausages, then cut into small pieces. Roll them into balls. Place the curd balls, one at a time, in the heated vegetable oil. They should not stick to the bottom of the cookware.
As soon as the balloon floats, dip the next one in the oil. Fry the curd donuts until golden brown. Place them on a strainer to make the oil glass. Then transfer the curd balls to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. To make it lie evenly, take a dry sieve, pour a little powder into it and sift over the balls.
Serve fried curd balls with tea along with sour cream, jam, honey, whipped cream.
Make fried cottage cheese balls with apricots. Products:
- apricots - 10 pcs.;
- cottage cheese - 500 g;
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- flour - 3 tablespoons;
- vegetable oil;
- salt;
- sugar.
Put the curd in a bowl, mash with a fork, add eggs, salt, sugar, flour and stir. Wash the apricots and cut into 2 halves. Remove the bones, cut the pulp into pieces 1, 5-2 cm in size. Sprinkle the plate with flour, put a portion of the cottage cheese with a tablespoon, put a little filling in the middle. Form a ball, with the apricots in the middle.
Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet, heat it to a boil and fry the balls for 5 minutes. Place them on a paper towel lined plate or sieve. When the oil is drained, transfer them to a dish.
Fried curd balls can also be made savory. They can be served as a snack. You will need:
- eggs - 2 pcs.;
- cottage cheese - 250 g;
- Parmesan cheese - 40 g;
- flour - 120 g;
- salt - 0.5 tsp;
- greens to taste;
- vegetable oil (for deep fat).
Mash cottage cheese with eggs, salt. Grate cheese, put it in cottage cheese, add flour mixed with baking powder. Add finely chopped greens. Knead the dough and form into small balls. Pour vegetable oil into a deep fryer or deep skillet, heat it to a boil, and dip the balls into it one at a time. Fry them until golden brown, and then place them on a paper towel or sieve.
Serve the unsweetened cottage cheese balls slightly cooled down to the table.
To prepare fried cheese and curd balls you will need:
- egg - 2 pcs.;
- cottage cheese - 400 g;
- flour - 100 g;
- cheese - 200 g;
- bread crumbs - 50 g;
- rast. butter.

- pepper.
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Mix cottage cheese with eggs, salt, pepper, flour. Combine with cheese and knead the dough. Blind small balls, dip each of them in breadcrumbs and fry in a large amount of heated vegetable oil until golden brown. Serve the cooked dish with stews or fresh vegetables.
