Fennel is popularly called pharmaceutical dill. Its fruits and twigs are used in cooking as a spicy condiment to food. But few people know that fennel is also an excellent assistant for digestive problems, for diseases of the upper respiratory tract, for the flu, for the flow of milk from a nursing woman, normalizing the menstrual cycle, with difficulty urinating, with kidney diseases, and even helps against blindness. But for each of the methods of application, this miracle plant must be brewed correctly.
Instructions
Step 1
For respiratory problems or flu. Prepare an infusion of 5 g of dried fennel seeds in a glass of boiling water. Cover, let cool, strain. You can drink fennel tea or gargle with it. If you consume 50 ml of infusion daily, fennel will serve as an excellent prevention against colds and flu.
Step 2
With colitis, flatulence, gastritis, intestinal colic. Brew an infusion of 1-2 teaspoons of fennel seeds in a glass of boiling water. A single intake of the infusion helps to relax the muscles of the intestinal tract, relieving spasms in the intestines. An enema of 5 g of dry seeds per mug of boiling water (cool, strain) will help the child relieve colic and gas formation in the tummy.
Step 3
Increased milk supply in nursing and normalization of the menstrual cycle. Brew 1-2 teaspoons of seeds in a glass of boiling water. Drink 3-4 glasses of fennel tea a day (you can drink it with sediment). Fennel has an estrogenic effect and is similar in action to the female sex hormone. Therefore, the menstrual cycle and lactation are stabilized. Fennel tea is not recommended for pregnant women.
Step 4
For weight loss and appetite reduction. Fennel seeds, dried or fresh, are recommended to be chewed to suppress hunger. The second effect of such a "snack" on seeds is a diuretic. That is, a spoonful of seeds will quickly remove excess fluid from the body. You can brew and drink fennel tea during a diet: crush 20 g of seeds and pour 250 ml of boiling water over them. Boil the broth for 4-5 minutes. Let sit for 30 minutes. The broth for weight loss is ready.
Step 5
In ancient times, people believed that fennel even cured blindness. This, of course, is far from the truth, but the healing properties of the plant are applicable to the eyes. Fennel tea lotions are used to flush out inflammations and for burning and dry eyes. A tablespoon of fennel is enough for a glass of boiling water. Rinse the eyes with a decoction and apply cotton swabs for 5-10 minutes.
