Instructions
Step 1
The easiest and cheapest way to paint eggs with onion husks, but you need to stock up on it in advance. Pour the husk over with cold water, bring to a boil and cook for 30-60 minutes. Let the broth brew and cool, then dip the previously washed eggs into it. Boil for 10 minutes, then rinse the eggs with cold water to cleanse well. You can achieve greater color intensity by immersing them again in the husk decoction for several hours.
Step 2
You can also use a simpler recipe: soak the onion peel in cold water, dip the eggs there, soak for several hours, and then cook everything together for 15 minutes.
Step 3
To get an unusual color, take multi-colored floss threads and wrap eggs with them, boil for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
Different colors of coloring can be achieved with vegetables, fruits, berries and other products. For example, a walnut shell will give the eggs a yellow color, beets and blueberries - pink, spinach - green, orange or carrots - light yellow, red cabbage - blue, and turmeric - golden. This color can be obtained as follows: put the eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and boil for 15 minutes with the appropriate product.
Step 5
Easter sets usually include special food coloring. To color eggs with their help, dilute each color with water, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar and dip boiled eggs in the solution. The duration of the soak depends on the intensity of the color you want to achieve.
Step 6
You can also apply various patterns to the eggs. Before dyeing, wrap them with ordinary threads, which form streaks on the shell. You can roll wet eggs in long grain rice or millet, wrap in cheesecloth and paint. In addition, you can get a picture by tying sprigs of dill, parsley to an egg, or applying drops of vegetable oil, and then dipping it into a dyeing solution.
