Delicious and healthy lentil dish will decorate your table and cheer up. This delicacy requires a minimum of time and ingredients to prepare.

It is necessary
- -1 tbsp. lentils;
- -1 onion;
- -1 carrots;
- -2 tbsp. l. tomato paste or 2 tomatoes;
- -2-3 cloves of garlic;
- -salt to taste;
- -parsley.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash and pour over the lentils with cold water. Boil until tender. Lentil cooking time depends on its variety. If the lentils are green, then the cooking time is 30-40 minutes. It takes 10-15 minutes to cook red. While the lentils are cooking, prepare the tomato sauce.
Step 2
Put the finely chopped onion in a pan and fry it until golden brown. Add coarsely grated carrots and fry a little. Adds tomato paste. If you are using fresh tomatoes, then remove the skin after pouring boiling water over them. Cut into cubes, put in a pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add a little decoction to the resulting vegetable mixture, in which the lentils were cooked, and simmer for 5 minutes. Then add chopped lentils and garlic to the resulting mixture. Add salt to taste, stir and simmer for 5 minutes. Ready-made lentils in tomato sauce are served hot.
