Cranberries are a valuable source of vitamins and minerals useful for human health. But often, having collected several kilograms of this berry, the hostesses do not know what to do with it in the future. There are a great many ways to use it.
Instructions
Step 1
Mash the cranberries with sugar. The simplest cranberry recipe is at the same time the best for preserving its beneficial properties. Wash the berries in cold water, let them dry. To grind it, use a blender or a simple pusher. Add sugar little by little, tasting the mixture. Choose the optimal ratio of cranberry to sugar and enjoy the benefits and flavor of the resulting dish throughout the winter.
Step 2
Prepare cranberry juice. This dish is also easy to prepare. It is enough to pour boiling water over clean cranberries, then add sugar to taste - and the drink is ready. Store it in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Try cranberry jam. Rinse one kilogram of berries, dip them in boiling water and boil for fifteen minutes. This simple trick will help soften the skin. Leave the cranberries to cool and prepare the sugar syrup. Mix one hundred and fifty grams of water and two kilograms of sugar, put on fire and stir until smooth (sugar should dissolve). Dip the berries in boiling syrup and cook for five minutes. Store the finished jam in rolled up sterilized jars.
Step 4
Soak the cranberries to preserve all the beneficial properties for a whole year. Rinse the berries, put them in a suitable dish - this can be a wooden tub or a regular saucepan. Boil the water, chill it completely and pour over the cranberries. Lay the load on top of the berries, store in a cool place.
Step 5
Brew cranberry tea. To do this, mash a tablespoon of pure berries with sugar in a cup, then pour boiling water over it and let it brew for ten minutes. Strain your drink. It can be consumed both hot and cold. This drink tastes great, protects you from colds, quenches your thirst and stimulates your appetite.
