Short biography of Oliver James
James Trevor Oliver was born in a provincial English village in 1975. His family owned a small pub and restaurant, where he began to work since childhood. Already at the age of 11, he began to earn his first money by selling candies bought at a cheap price to other children. Two years later, James got a job as an assistant chef in a local tavern, where he became so skilled at the culinary art that they began to trust him to cook the main dishes.
Since childhood, Oliver suffered from dyslexia and could hardly read, the grades in school left much to be desired. For this reason, at the age of 16, he dropped out of this educational institution and entered the culinary school. Then he left to study in France, and when he returned to his homeland, he decided to show the British how to cook. His first culinary television show, The Naked Chef, was incredibly successful and James Oliver's career took off quickly.
He currently continues to lead several successful culinary business projects, do charity work and, of course, cook deliciously. Since 2000, he has been happily married to model Juliet Norton, with whom he has three daughters and one son.
