Instructions
Step 1
For the preparation of dairy-free buckwheat porridge, unground is more suitable. Measure out 1 level glass and carefully sort the cereal.
Step 2
Rinse the buckwheat several times, changing the water. Dry the cereals and then roast them in a non-greasy skillet. Remember to stir constantly. You need to fry the kernel until it turns golden brown.
Step 3
Pour 2 cups of water into a heavy-walled pot. Bring it to a boil over high heat and salt to taste. Put the cereal there. If you are preparing porridge for a lean meal, add 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Step 4
For everyday meals, you can use butter. In this case, it is better to act in the reverse order - first melt 1 teaspoon of oil in a thick-walled saucepan, then put the prepared cereal there, salt and mix. Then pour two cups of boiling water over the contents of the pot.
Step 5
Reduce heat and cover tightly with lid. Leave the porridge to cook for twenty minutes. Do not open the lid or stir the contents of the pot.
Step 6
For dairy-free rice porridge, cook round or oval white rice. You can take a little more water than for cooking buckwheat dairy-free porridge, about 2.5 cups per 1 cup of cereal. Sort the rice and soak in cold water for about twelve hours. Drain the water. Put the cereals in a thick-walled saucepan, pour boiling water over and salt. Cook the porridge over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until tender.
Step 7
Dairy-free rice porridge can be made with pumpkin, raisins, or apples. Mix pumpkin or apples cut into small cubes with washed cereals and pour boiling water over. Cook the porridge in the same way as in the previous case. You can add a couple of tablespoons of honey to the finished porridge.
Step 8
Prepare millet in the same way as rice or buckwheat. Go over and rinse well. Place in a saucepan. Add oil or butter, pour 2 cups of water over the contents of a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Cook the porridge, stirring constantly. When the cereal is cooked, tightly close the pan with a lid and put the porridge in the oven.
