The cocktail owes its widespread fame to the art of cinema. The drink made its screen debut in 1934, in a romantic comedy called Skinny. But the true laurels came a year later, when Dry Martini brilliantly played himself in a glass of Clark Gable and his partner Constance Bennett in After Work. Since then, he has become a regular guest at any feast. How to cook and drink Martini Dry?
It is necessary
- Gin Beefeater - 75 ml
- Vermouth dry - 15 ml
- olive - 1
- cocktail glass - 1
- Mixing bowl - 1
- Cocktail spoon - 1
- Strainer - 1
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, chill the cocktail glass and mixing glass by filling them with cubes, preferably crushed ice, and placing them in the freezer.
Step 2
Then drain the melted water from the mixing glass.
Step 3
Pour 15 ml of dry vermouth and 75 ml of Beefeater Gin into a mixing glass.
Step 4
Stir both drinks in a mixing glass using a cocktail spoon. It is not recommended to use a shaker.
Step 5
Empty the cocktail glass of ice and melt water.
Step 6
Pour the resulting vermouth and gin mixture into a cocktail glass. Use a strainer to keep the ice in the mixing glass (a regular strainer will work as well).
Step 7
Squeeze the lemon zest over the cocktail and run it over the rim of the glass.
Step 8
Place an olive on a skewer (toothpick) and immerse it in the bottom of the glass.
