Have you decided to throw a real cocktail party at your home? The party plan is well thought out, the snacks and drinks are prepared, but only one little touch is missing - a worthy decoration of your cocktails. The following guidelines will help you with this.
Instructions
Step 1
Twisted citrus
To make a curled citrus, cut a thin citrus fruit slice crosswise and simply twist it and secure it on the side of the glass.
Step 2
Spirals from citrus peel
To make a spiral from the peel of citrus fruits, use a special peeling machine or the most ordinary knife. Remove the rind from the fruit in a circular motion.
Step 3
Citrus peel nodules
Cut the peel into strips and gently roll them into knots.
Step 4
Cocktail sticks
These extraordinarily useful sticks are essential for pricking fruit and cherry pieces onto them. Both wooden and plastic cocktail sticks are used. Plastic sticks, unlike wooden ones, can be used repeatedly - they are washed and boiled.
Step 5
Glazing / Edging of cocktails
"Margarita" and other mixed drinks often require a glass rim in the form of a icing of sugar, salt or other powdered substance. The easiest way to do this is to rub the glass with a piece of citrus fruit and then dip the rim of the glass into a small bowl of sugar or salt.
For chocolate and cream cocktails, add a hazelnut glaze to the rim of the glass. Dip the rim of the glass first in honey and then in finely chopped nuts. You can also use flakes of coconut instead of nuts.
Step 6
Maraschino cherries
This is a well-known way to decorate cocktails. Maraschino cherries can be made with fresh or canned cherries. After removing the seeds, cherries need to be dipped in thick sweet syrup. The syrup is prepared at the rate of 350 g of sugar per 1 tbsp. water.
Step 7
Olives
For small cocktails, you can use black or green olive decorations.
Step 8
Straws
Straws are an indispensable attribute that goes well with most cocktails.
