By and large, for lovers of stronger drinks, it might make sense to pay attention to other types of alcohol - whiskey, cognac, vodka, absinthe, after all. But some desperate experimenters do not want to make a choice between the taste of their favorite drink and the strength at all. And then they start to come up with the strongest beers in the world.

Step 1
Japanese quality
The Japanese Hakusekikan Brewery opens the top sorts of strong beer, containing 15% ethyl alcohol. In fact, this is not so much, Baltika No. 9 or Okhota Strong contain slightly less of it, but, of course, they are inferior in quality. Hakusekikan Brewery is not just beer, but a strong, aromatic ale with hints of fruits and herbs. It has a sweetish taste and a pleasant spice flavor. However, this impression is deceiving - after a party with such a drink, a morning hangover is guaranteed.

Chocolate shores
The next beer hit the rating straight from the USA and is called Chocolate Rain. Manufacturers promise that by opening the bottle, you can serve it to the festive table on a par with mulled wine - its taste is so soft and aromatic, despite the strength of 20 degrees. To achieve this unusual effect, producers allow their other beer, called Black Tuesday, to ferment along with cocoa beans and vanilla pods.

Explosive penguin
But 15-20%, in essence, are such trifles! The Scottish brand Brew Dog and their product Tactical Nuclear Penguin with a strength of 32% begin to boggle the imagination. This drink is made in a very bizarre way: first it is kept in whiskey barrels, and then sent to an ice cream factory, where the barrels are frozen. Everything freezes except alcohol, which is bottled. The result is a tart, aromatic and sweetish taste with hints of fruit and a strength that is crazy for beer.

Catching up development
Whatever one may say, but in such a matter as the production of alcohol, too, you cannot escape the competitive moment. Frustrated that Brew Dog had created such a strong drink, the German producers Schorschbräu decided to surpass them. They released the Schorschbock beer in a limited batch, producing it in a similar way of freezing. At the same time, they received a fortress of 43%. The drink tastes like scotch or brandy with a sweetish caramel flavor.

There is nothing to be petty about
For many years Brew Dog and Schorschbräu competed with each other, producing drinks at 40, 50 and even 60%. However, at one point, Scottish brewers Levish Shendon and John Mackenzie got tired of it. At first, the guys took and brewed beer with a strength of 65% and called it rather uncomplicated - Armageddon. At the same time, they managed to create a drink that, in terms of strength, will give odds to good cognac, but retains the mild taste of beer. Then they took and broke their own record, creating a beer with an ethyl alcohol content of 67.5%. It was named Snake poison. The record has not yet been broken.
