Homemade orange liqueurs can outshine the popular Triple Sec or Curaso, which are made from sweet and bitter oranges. Homemade orange liqueur turns out to be fragrant and very tasty, suitable for festive feasts.
Orange liqueur recipe # 1
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of vodka;
- 1 large orange;
- 400 g of icing sugar.
Take a three-liter glass jar, pour powdered sugar into it, fill it with vodka, shake until the powder dissolves. Attach the orange to a thin string and hang it over the liquid. Close the jar with a lid, make several holes in it. Move the container to a warm place, preferably exposed to the sun. When the orange hardens and is completely dry, the orange liqueur is ready, it turns out to be slightly golden in color.
Orange liqueur recipe # 2
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of vodka;
- 3 large oranges.
For syrup:
- 500 ml of water;
- 350 g of sugar.
First, prepare the syrup, for this, pour the sugar with boiled water, cook for ten minutes, removing the foam. When foaming is over, remove the syrup from the stove, let cool, add the zest from the oranges.
Pour the dried orange peels with vodka, close the container with a lid, leave for six weeks. Then strain the tincture through a couple of layers of cheesecloth. Mix the syrup with the tincture, let it brew (five days), then strain, bottle, cork.
