Whiskey is a strong alcoholic beverage made using traditional technology. You can try making whiskey yourself. Let the resulting drink not be considered original, but you can be sure of its quality.

It is necessary
-
- 8 kg corn
- 1 kg wheat flour
- large capacity
- 3 buckets of water
- 100 g yeast
- barley malt
- alcohol distillation apparatus
- pieces of oak wood
Instructions
Step 1
Crush the corn to a fine grain state, or as a last resort, you can use regular corn grits. Mix corn with flour and place in a container that holds at least 50 liters. Pour the mixture with boiled water, light a small fire under a saucepan and simmer the wort for about 4-5 hours with occasional stirring. You should end up with a thin gruel.
Step 2
Turn off the heat, cover the pan with a blanket, let the contents cool slowly to 60 ° C, add the malt and yeast to the mixture and let it ferment for a week. The resulting mash will be slightly bitter, but this is normal, everything is as it should be.
Step 3
Distill the alcohol using the apparatus, clean it with a charcoal filter. Pour the alcohol into jars with a tight-fitting lid and a few oak chips on the bottom of each jar. Close the banks and forget about them for at least a year.
Step 4
Measure the strength of the resulting drink. In real whiskey, it fluctuates between 40-45 °.
