You can make tasty and healthy sweets from powdered milk - for example, a variety of sweets. The dessert turns out to be very tender and very high in calories. For a brighter taste, add nuts, dried fruit or cocoa to milk, butter and other base ingredients.
Milk candies with dried apricots
Try making candy with dried apricots and coconut. Sweet coconut goes well with the delicate milky taste of sweets, and dried apricots will add a slight sourness to the dessert.
You will need:
- 300 g of powdered milk;
- 60 g butter;
- 150 g icing sugar;
- 100 g of dried apricots;
- 100 g of coconut flakes;
- 4 tablespoons of boiled water;
- a pinch of vanillin.
Dried apricots can be replaced with prunes or pitted raisins.
Pour dried apricots with boiling water for 15 minutes, then drain the water, and dry the fruit and chop into small pieces. Sift milk powder and icing sugar into a bowl, add vanillin and softened butter. Mix the ingredients thoroughly to obtain an elastic homogeneous mass. Add chopped dried apricots, boiled water to it and mix again.
Take small pieces of milk mass and roll them into balls with your hands. Then roll each in the coconut flakes and place on a flat plate. Place it in the refrigerator to harden the candy.
The candy recipe can be slightly modified. Eliminate dried apricots, and place an almond kernel in the middle of each ball. Ready-made candies can be rolled in grated nuts, crushed waffle crumbs or coated with melted white chocolate.
Ready-made candies can be laid out on corrugated paper sockets and packed in a box - you get a stylish and sincere gift.
Chocolate-honey sweets
Powdered milk can be used to make delicious sweets with cocoa and nuts. Honey and cinnamon will add a piquant note - sweets will acquire a pleasant aroma and delicate taste.
You will need:
- 3 tablespoons of milk powder;
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa;
- 2 tablespoons of sugar;
- 1 tablespoon of water;
- 2 tablespoons of honey;
- 1 tablespoon of butter;
- 100 g of peanut kernels;
- 0.5 teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
Fry the peanut kernels in a dry frying pan, making sure they do not burn. Remove the nuts from the stove and leave to cool. Mix sugar with water in a small saucepan and stir until crystals are completely dissolved. Add butter, milk powder, cocoa and honey. Simmer the mixture over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
It is convenient to prepare the candy mix in a water bath.
Place roasted peanuts on a small baking sheet or rectangular tray and dust with ground cinnamon. Spread the warm candy mass on top. Cool the dessert at room temperature and then put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Then cut the layer into squares or diamonds and place on a plate.
