Beef stew is a very satisfying dish that will warm you in cold weather after walking or active games. On a weekend, spending time playing snowballs, and then gathering with the whole family at the table - what could be better?
It is necessary
- Ingredients for 4 persons;
- - 650 gr. beef;
- - 4-5 medium carrots;
- - onion;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - a cube of chicken broth;
- - olive oil;
- - flour;
- - Bay leaf;
- - parsley and thyme;
- - pepper and salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Chop the garlic and onion, fry in olive oil. Once the onion is translucent, add the medium-sized beef slices. Fry them on all sides.
Step 2
When the beef is browned, pour a spoonful of flour into the pan, without stopping stirring the meat with garlic and onions.
Step 3
Add water to cover the meat. Put the bouillon cube, carrot slices, bay leaves and seasonings in the pan.
Step 4
Salt, stir, reduce heat to low and close with a lid. The meat should be stewed for an hour. If there is very little water, it must be added in a small amount.
Step 5
You can serve the dish with rice, potatoes or fresh vegetables, but keep in mind that it is very satisfying and a side dish is added only if desired.
