The history of Chinese cuisine has been known since ancient times. The science of cooking was passed down by the great masters from generation to generation. And today you can see a variety of Chinese restaurants and cafes in almost every country and city. Oriental chefs do the job with care and prepare exquisite masterpieces. Of course, their cuisine is specific and not suitable for everyone, but one should not underestimate the great chefs.
Eastern customs and traditions
The Chinese are a large-scale nation with their own mysterious culture and extraordinary customs. For cooking, they often use: meat, fish, seafood, rice, vegetables and various hot spices.
The cooking itself is a kind of ritual. For example, ingredients are cut separately from each other and only in small pieces. This is necessary for better assimilation of food by the body. Then everything is seasoned with aromatic herbs (nutmeg, pepper, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, zest and parsley), which gives the dish an amazing aroma and unusual taste.
Cooked masterpieces are evaluated first for color and aroma, and only then for taste.
Festive table decoration is one of the main elements of traditional Chinese cuisine. To make dishes on the table look brighter and more distinct, chefs use various combinations of contrasting colors: from bright red to dark brown.
It is considered a tradition of Eastern culture to serve delicacies to the guest on the plate with his own chopsticks - this is a sign of attention to the visitor. Then the guest is offered to taste rice with sauce, washed down with wine. At the end of dinner, it is customary to taste a light broth and wash it down with green tea with milk. This sequence of eating foods is considered the most appropriate for the normal metabolism of the body.
Is it good or bad to eat Chinese food?
Eastern cuisine - dietary and low-calorie. There is fertile land on the territory of China, which makes it possible to grow vegetation and raise livestock. Therefore, the products for cooking are always fresh and natural.
In ordinary life, the Chinese prefer to drink green tea in the morning without added sugar, eat rice - rich in vitamins, fiber, potassium, and vegetable protein. All these components positively reflect their effect on the human cardiovascular and defense system.
The usefulness of Chinese food mostly depends on the chosen place for eating lunch and on the order itself. It is not recommended to visit fast food places that contain a large amount of unhealthy fats. One of the proven ways to prepare healthy meals is to cook at home. This reduces the degree of addition of hot spices (salt, pepper).
The big drawback of traditional oriental cuisine is the spices. Since it is very difficult for the human stomach to cope with the intake of a large amount of vinegar, garlic, pepper into the body. This can damage the digestive system, causing gastritis and ulcers. Therefore, it is advised to carefully monitor the way you eat and choose good places to eat.
