It is necessary

  • - berries or fruits;
  • - sugar;
  • - multicooker;
  • - cans and lids.

Instructions

Step 1

Since you need to cook the jam in a multicooker with the lid closed, the moisture will not evaporate, and the syrup will not thicken. Therefore, the jam will turn out to be liquid, but with whole berries, like a five-minute jam. If you want thicker, try 2 rounds.

Step 2

Do not put a lot of berries in the slow cooker, otherwise the jam will simply "run away", so remember the proportions. For 2 liters capacity - no more than half a kilogram of fruits or berries. See how big your multicooker is and calculate how much you need.

Step 3

Wash the fruits or berries and be sure to let them dry out, because the extra liquid in the multicooker is useless. Mix berries with sugar. If you are cooking apricot or strawberry jam in a multicooker, use equal amounts of sugar. For sour berries, for example, currants, you need more sugar.

Step 4

Be sure to remove the steam valve before cooking the jam in the multicooker. Place the berries in a container, close the lid and turn on the "Stew" mode for 1 hour. Prepare the jars during this time. They need to be sterilized. This can be done in several ways. Place the jar on a special stand over boiling water in a saucepan, bottom down. Remove after 3-5 minutes. Or you can simply pour boiling water over the jars, cover with boiled lids and hold for 10 minutes, then carefully drain the water. Or, put the jars in a double boiler and sterilize them.

Step 5

The jam in the slow cooker is already ready. Open it and put it in jars. Tighten them immediately, because the jam is liquid and can ferment over time if germs get in. Place the jars upside down and cover with a blanket or something else. Let the jam stay hot for a little longer.
