Fans of tasty dishes, watching their figure, can cook turkey stew with tomato sauce. The dish will turn out to be dietary due to white turkey meat, but very tasty and aromatic due to seasonings and balsamic vinegar - it will be impossible to resist it.
It is necessary
- - 400 g turkey fillet;
- - medium onion;
- - large carrot;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 750 g of canned tomatoes in their own juice;
- - half a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar;
- - 50 ml of white wine;
- - a teaspoon of oregano and basil;
- - sugar on the tip of a knife;
- - salt and pepper to taste;
- - olive oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 170C. Chop the onion, squeeze the garlic, cut the peeled carrots into cubes. Cut the turkey fillet into small pieces.
Step 2
Heat a small amount of olive oil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan that can be used for the oven. Fry the turkey on it for 3-5 minutes, salt and pepper, transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Fry onions and carrots in a saucepan for 5 minutes, add garlic. After a minute, put the tomatoes in their own juice in a saucepan, season with oregano, basil and a little ground black pepper. Pour in wine and balsamic vinegar, add sugar so that the dish is not very sour because of the tomatoes. Simmer all the ingredients for a few minutes, lightly crushing the canned tomatoes with a fork.
Step 4
Return the turkey to the pan, mix thoroughly and bring to a boil. We close the pan with a lid and send it to the oven for 60-90 minutes (depending on the size of the turkey slices). During this time, stir the stew 2-3 times, let stand outside the oven for 10-15 minutes before serving. Any kind of rice can be cooked as a side dish.
