There are a lot of salad recipes, but Korean salads are in a separate row. They have occupied one of the most important places on our tables for a long time. They differ from ordinary salads in that they use more pepper and vinegar than usual.
Korean cabbage salad
This salad can often be seen on supermarket shelves. But it's easy to do it in your kitchen too.
For the salad you will need:
- 1kg cabbage (you can reduce the dose)
- 2 peppers (different colors)
- 1 carrot
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 onion
- 0, 5 tbsp. l. Sahara
- 0, 5 tbsp. l. salt
- 0, 5 tbsp. l. red pepper
- 0, 5 tbsp. l. black pepper
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 50 ml vegetable oil
- greens to taste
- vinegar
- Vegetables to be washed - wash. Clear.
- Chop the cabbage as fine as possible. Grate carrots for Korean carrots. Cut the pepper and cucumbers into thin strips.
- Place everything in a deep bowl. Pour salt and sugar there. Add vinegar to taste (depends on your preference). Stir and set aside. Let it stand for a while.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onion in it, which is pre-cut into cubes or half rings. Fry until golden brown and immediately pour into the cabbage and vegetables.
- Add the spices indicated in the ingredients, herbs (dill, parsley, cilantro). Mix. Let the salad steep. Fold into a container. Close the lid and put in the refrigerator.
Korean celery salad
Korean salad can be delicious and very healthy. The benefits of celery have long been proven. Korean celery salad is tasty, unusual and healthy. This appetizer will never be superfluous on the table.
Ingredients for the salad:
- 2-3 celery roots
- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
- spices for carrots in Korean
- 1 clove of garlic
- soy sauce
- vinegar
- salt
- Wash and peel the celery roots. Pass it through a Korean carrot grater or cut into strips very thinly. Pour in a little salted water. Set aside for a couple of hours. Then drain the water and squeeze out the celery.
- Put celery in a bowl. Add spices to it, garlic, passed through a press. Pour in a little vinegar. Mix.
- Pour vegetable oil into the salad, which is preheated well.
- Add soy sauce to taste. Mix. Put the salad in a container with a lid (jar), press it down well and put it in the refrigerator for 5 hours.
Addition
Korean salads can be prepared not only from fresh vegetables. They are also made from pickled, pickled, frozen fruits. Moreover, such salads are prepared not only from vegetables, but also from mushrooms and fruits. Fruit can be taken both fresh and canned. Salads can be seasoned not only with oil, but also with sauces, for example, soy or mayonnaise. Special dressings and spice mixtures are used.
The important thing about such salads is that you can experiment with spices and vegetables. Remember to cut vegetables and other ingredients as thin as possible. It is better to do this with a vegetable cutter.
