To some, the combination of pepper and pear may seem wild, but this is far from the case. Such a duet can be an excellent addition, sauce to any meat, which will undoubtedly emphasize its taste.
It is necessary
-
- 1 kg of Williams pears
- 500 g sugar
- 10 g apple pectin
- 5 g pink pepper
- 5 g black pepper
- 5 g white pepper
- juice of half a small lemon.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase all the ingredients you need. Prepare a saucepan, glass jars with lids, and a knife. Rinse the pears with running water, then peel them with a knife, be careful. Cut the core, remove the seeds from the fruit. Next, cut each pear into small pieces and place them on the bottom of a small saucepan. Choose dishes with a large bottom.
Step 2
Sprinkle sugar on top of the fruit, stir with a large spoon. Then squeeze the lemon juice from the citrus half and add the pectin. If you didn’t find this product, it’s okay. You can replace it with ready-made "candy" sugar, which you also find in the store. Stir the contents of the saucepan again and let it boil. After that, cook the pear over low heat for about five minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 3
After cooking, turn off heat and add pepper. You can buy a ready-made mixture of black, white and pink peppers. Otherwise, if one is not available, make it yourself, after chopping the pepper with a meat hammer or knife handle. To do this, wrap the peppers in a napkin. Be careful when handling the knife. Or crush the peppers in a mortar or bowl using a spoon or crush.
Step 4
Spread the resulting mixture over clean jars, close the lids tightly. Place the container in another pan, fill the container with water so that the lids stick out a couple of centimeters above the surface of the water. Boil the jars in boiling water for ten minutes with the lid closed. The pear with pepper is ready and already sterilized, it can be stored for a long time. This product is used in food, both cold and hot.
Step 5
If during cooking you replace pepper with cinnamon in exactly the same proportion, then you will get a wonderful sweet dessert with an original taste. Add the cinnamon after the pears have boiled.
