Apple or pear compote is a healthy drink containing a large amount of vitamins. It can be prepared from fresh, dried or frozen fruits. You can drink compote right away, or you can make a preparation for the winter.

- 500 g of apples or pears;
- 1 liter of water;
- 0.75 cups of sugar.
- Dried apple or pear compote:
- 200 g of dried fruits;
- 120 g sugar;
- 2 liters of water.

- 1 kg of apples;
- 500 g sugar;
- 2 liters of water.
Instructions
Step 1
Fresh apple or pear compote
Rinse the fruit with plenty of running water. Cut them into 6-8 pieces and remove the core. Put prepared fruits in a saucepan, cover them with hot water and put the saucepan on fire.
Step 2
Bring contents of a saucepan to a boil, reduce heat. Pour granulated sugar into the compote and mix thoroughly. Cook the compote at a slow boil for 10-15 minutes. Cool the finished compote and serve.
Step 3
Dried apple or pear compote
Wash dried fruits in warm water 2-3 times. Place them in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
Step 4
Bring the compote to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat, add sugar to the compote, stir it. Boil the compote until dried fruit is soft.
Step 5
Apple or pear compote for the winter
Rinse apples or pears, cut into 4-6 pieces and core. Make a syrup with water and sugar and bring it to a boil.
Step 6
Put prepared fruit in boiling syrup, bring everything to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Transfer the fruit from the pot to a sterilized glass jar. Pour boiling syrup all the way to the top and roll up with a metal lid.
Step 8
Turn the jar upside down and wrap it until it cools completely. Store the compote in a cool, dark place.
