It is necessary

    • beef - 1.5 kg;
    • olive oil - 4 tablespoons l.;
    • onions - 4 pcs.;
    • beer - 330 ml;
    • allspice - 4 peas;
    • sugar - 1 pinch;
    • thyme - 1 sprig;
    • baguette - ½ pc.;
    • flour;
    • pepper;
    • salt;
    • finely chopped parsley.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the meat thoroughly in warm water, blot with a clean paper towel and cut into 1, 5-2 centimeters thick slices.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry each piece of meat in it on both sides until golden brown, after rolling it in flour. Just do not fry all the meat at once, but several pieces. Otherwise, the temperature of the oil will drop sharply and a good crust will not work. Place each portion of fried meat on the bottom of a large duck.

Step 3

Peel the onions, cut into 4-6 pieces and fry in the same oil for 3-4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the onion to the roaster, spreading it evenly over the meat.

Step 4

Pour a small amount of beer into the same pan. Scrape well with a wooden spoon or spatula so that the remains of the roast come off the bottom and sides. Then slowly add the rest of the beer to the pan and, stirring, pour the liquid from the pan into the rooster.

Step 5

Add bay leaves, allspice, sugar and thyme. Salt if necessary. Sprinkle freshly ground pepper on top. Close the roaster with a lid and place in an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees. Bake for 50-60 minutes, then remove the lid.

Step 6

Cut the bread into thin slices. Dip them in the meat sauce and place on top of the dish. Sprinkle with finely chopped parsley and leave in an open roaster in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. As soon as the slices of bread are browned and crispy, you can serve the dish to the table.
