When you want to pamper your family or surprise guests with a delicious and unusual dish, you can cook beef stew in beer sauce. Thanks to a light alcoholic drink, the meat will turn out to be especially tender, very tasty and aromatic.
It is necessary
- - 300 ml of beef broth;
- - 20 g of flower honey;
- - 1, 2 kg of beef;
- - 2 pcs. medium sized onions;
- - a pinch of crushed ginger;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of cornstarch;
- - 120 ml of light beer;
- - salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the beef, put in a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to a boil. After that, season with salt, reduce heat, and simmer until tender. Remove, cool and cut into small pieces, like for goulash.
Step 2
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes, fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Add light beer, ginger and simmer for about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Pour 2/3 of the hot broth into a skillet and season with salt. After 5 minutes, add the flower honey to the sauce, stir and simmer for another 5 minutes. Stir the remaining cold stock with the starch 3 minutes before cooking and stir into the sauce to thicken.
Step 4
Pour 2/3 of the hot broth into a skillet and season with salt. After 5 minutes, add the flower honey to the sauce, stir and simmer for a few more minutes. Stir the remaining cold stock with the starch and add to the thickening sauce before finishing cooking.
