Kaiser's omelet (kaiserschmarrn) is a dessert of Austrian cuisine, which means "imperial omelet". According to legend, the origin of this dish is associated with the name of Emperor Franz Joseph I. It was with such an omelet that a peasant woman who got lost in the forest of the monarch treated her. When cooking, the omelet fell apart. But the hungry Kaiser unexpectedly liked the "collapsed" dish, since then the sweet omelet has become one of the most popular Austrian dishes.

  • - 20 g butter;
  • - 2 teaspoons of raisins;

Instructions

Step 1

Beat the eggs with a special whisk or on a blender, pour milk into the egg mixture, add granulated sugar, salt and flour. Mix all ingredients well.

Take a frying pan, put it on low heat and melt the butter in it. Carefully pour the prepared mass into the melted butter.

After a minute or two, when the bottom of the omelet is browned, add the pitted raisins and cinnamon. After the omelet has thickened, flip it over to the other side. Use two forks or a wooden spatula to split the omelet into multiple pieces. Fry the omelet chunks until crisp.
