It is necessary

  • - 600 grams of fresh apricots;
  • - 5 cloves of garlic;
  • - fresh or dried herbs;
  • - a pinch of ground red pepper;
  • - salt, sugar.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to properly prepare the apricots. To do this, they will need to be thoroughly washed, peeled and peeled, and then cut into small pieces. Thanks to the juicy pulp, the sauce will turn out to be quite thick and it will be convenient to add it to various chicken dishes.

Step 2

For further cooking, it is best to choose a shallow saucepan with a thick bottom and sides. It is necessary to put fruits in it, then add sugar and salt (about 1 teaspoon each, more precise proportions depend on taste). And then - pour in 150 milliliters of boiled warm water.

Step 3

As soon as the mass boils, you should reduce the heat and leave the future sauce over low heat for about 20 minutes more. It will end up as thick as jam.

Step 4

While the mass is boiling, garlic and selected herbs are chopped in a separate container. For example, parsley and basil. Then the spice mixture is added to the apricots and the sauce is cooked for another 10-12 minutes. At the very end, you need to turn the mass into a homogeneous puree using a blender.

Step 5

It is better to serve the sauce hot. It goes well with any type of chicken. The finished dish perfectly complements, for example, pieces of chicken fried in olive oil.
