Lazy dumplings with cherry sauce will appeal to those who cannot choose between dumplings with cherries and dumplings with cottage cheese.
It is necessary
- - 500 g of cottage cheese;
- - yolk;
- - 150 g flour and for rolling;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 70 g of sugar;
- - 50 g of butter and for serving;
- - salt (for cooking)
- For the sauce:
- - 300 g frozen cherries (pitted cherries);
- - 70 g of sugar;
- - 80 ml of water;
- - a tablespoon of cornstarch;
- - 2 tablespoons of water;
- - 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your cherry sauce. Combine the cherries, caxap, and water in a small saucepan. Bring the berry mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Dissolve the starch in a small amount of liquid (2 tablespoons), add to the boiling mixture, pouring in a thin stream and stirring constantly.
Step 3
Bring to a boil again and cook, stirring for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and add lemon juice to taste.
Step 4
Make lazy dumplings. First, grind the curd through a sieve. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Loose the eggs.
Step 5
Then mix the cottage cheese with eggs, add the yolk, cooled butter. Next, add sugar and sifted flour. Mix thoroughly, collecting in a lump and continue to knead.
Step 6
As a result, the dough should be slightly sticky. But it is better not to add additional flour. Divide the dough in two.
Step 7
Place it on a well-floured surface and roll one piece into a long, flat "sausage", drenching it in flour. Cut into small slices.
Step 8
Press down on each slice with a fork, leaving an imprint on it, so the dumplings will better hold the sauce. Lightly flour the cuts if necessary.
Step 9
In this way, form the dumplings from the second half of the dough. Boil water in a large saucepan and season with salt. Cook the dumplings in portions until they float.
Step 10
Place the finished dumplings in a bowl, brushing them with a little melted butter. Pour cherry sauce over the mouth-watering dumplings and serve.
