Dumplings with potatoes are a great option for a delicious lean dinner. But it is not always possible to prepare and roll traditional dough. If you want to save a huge amount of time, and at the same time want to feast on tender dumplings, try making their "lazy" version. Moreover, the taste of such products will not differ much from the usual ones.
It is necessary
- - potatoes - 0.5 kg;
- - flour - 200 g;
- - semolina - 100 g;
- - onions - 2 pcs.;
- - sunflower oil for frying;
- - ground black pepper;
- - salt;
- - a large saucepan, frying pan.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and rinse them from dirt. Then divide each tuber into 3-4 pieces and dip into a saucepan. Pour in enough water to cover the entire contents of the pot with a little more, then bring to a boil. Cook the potatoes over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, until tender.
Step 2
When the cooking time comes to an end, drain all the water from the pan, and carefully grind the potatoes with a crush in mashed potatoes so that there are no lumps left. After that, add semolina, black pepper and salt to the resulting potato mass.
Step 3
Next, add flour in parts to make it easier to control its amount, and knead an elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Divide the finished dough into 2-3 parts and form the sausages. And then cut them into small pieces.
Step 4
In the meantime, place a large pot filled with water on the stove. While the water is heating, peel and chop the onions into quarters. Pour sunflower oil into the pan and when it is well heated, put the onion in the pan and fry it until golden brown.
Step 5
After boiling water, put 1 teaspoon of salt and dumplings in a saucepan. Cook them, stirring occasionally, until they all come to the surface. As soon as this happens, use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a large dish, spread the sautéed onions on top and serve.
