Step 1

Select ripe plums without damage. Wash and dry the fruit, cut into halves and remove the seeds. Put butter in a large deep frying pan, melt, add sugar. While stirring with a wooden spatula, cook the mixture until bubbles appear on the surface. Gently, taking care not to burn your hands, place the plums in the pan, cut side down. Arrange fruits beautifully - for example, in even rows or in a spiral. Press down lightly on each half (this can be done with a dry wooden spatula). Remove skillet from heat.

Make pie dough. Rub butter and sugar thoroughly. Add a pinch of vanilla, eggs, and egg yolk to the mixture. Stir well - the sugar should completely dissolve. Pour milk into the egg-butter mass, mix. Sift the flour, combine it with baking powder and salt and add portions to the dough, continuing to grind the mixture. Crush the toasted almond kernels in a mortar and add the almond crumbs to the dough. Knead it thoroughly and place in an even layer on top of the drain.

The sides of the dessert can be sprinkled with slightly fried almond petals. Serve the pie whole or cut into portions and place on serving bowls.
