For the pie, use Vengerka plum (small oblong fruits) or Prunes (small rounded fruits). You can put dried or sun-dried plums in baked goods (preferably the fleshy fruits of “Home Hungarian” and “Italian Hungarian”). It is better to take raisins small and round, without seeds.

- sugar - 3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons for sprinkling
- butter or margarine - 115 g
- flour - 1 glass
- 2 eggs
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- a pinch of salt
- chopped nuts
- sesame
- poppy seeds or coconut flakes
Instructions
Step 1
Gently (by hand or with the tip of a thin knife) divide the fruit into halves, remove the seeds. This makes 24 even plum wedges.
Step 2
Soak raisins in water, grape juice, or wine.
Step 3
Stir the butter and granulated sugar thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time. Add salt. Whisk everything together until smooth.
Step 4
Add baking powder to the flour. Stir all this with a spoon slowly with the previously prepared mass. Add raisins. The dough should be firm and thick.
Step 5
Preheat oven to 175 - 180 degrees.
Step 6
Grease a 24 cm pan with butter and lightly dust it with flour. Pour the dough into a mold and smooth everything thoroughly. On top, without pressing, place the halves of the drain. In addition, you can leave a small part of the raisins and spread the berries on the surface in the same way between the plums.
Step 7
Combine granulated sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle with plums. You can use special store-bought mixes in sachets (powdered cinnamon sugar or cinnamon sugar). You can also add any nuts (roasted and crushed), sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or coconut to the sprinkle.
Step 8
Place the pie pan in a well-preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes until crisp. The sugar on the plums should caramelize and turn shiny. When properly prepared, the plum becomes amber with a red tint.
Step 9
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
