Sausage is irreplaceable on the festive table. Can this invariable appetizer be served in a new way? Why not try to roll the slices in the form of flowers, especially since the delicate pink color of the delicacy quite allows it.

- For sausage roses
- baked on dough:
- boiled sausage
- marble
- veal;
- 500 g wheat flour;
- 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- 2 tbsp. l. butter;
- 1 egg;
- 10 g yeast;
- ¼ Art. l. salt;
- 1 glass of milk.
Instructions
Step 1
Sausage roses
Cut the boiled sausage into rings as thin as possible, cut each ring into two equal halves (a thin and wide knife is best). Take one half of a mug of sausage, roll it into a tight roll, wrap it over with another semicircle, a little less tight, roll two or three more slices, turn the edges of the next slice outward so that it looks like a rosebud. Fasten the rose at the base with a toothpick.
Step 2
Sausage roses on the dough
Cut the marbled sausage into thin circles, take one and roll into a tight roll. Take the second slice, tuck the edge a little and wrap it around the core - this will be the first petal. Take the next slice, tuck the edge over and wrap the first one, continue to overlap the slices until you get a bud of the right size. Cut off part of the rose at the bottom so that you can stably position the "flower" on the plate.
Step 3
Boil the milk, cool a little (degrees to 30 Celsius), dissolve yeast in the milk, add salt, sugar, eggs, pour flour through a sieve, knead for 5-10 minutes, the dough should turn out to be homogeneous, without lumps and not very steep, add milk as needed. Heat the butter, but only lightly, knead it into the dough, cover the container with the dough with a lid and place in a warm place to ferment.
Step 4
Knead the dough after 2-2.5 hours, when it rises quite strongly, after 40-50 minutes knead the dough again, put it on a floured table or cutting board. Cut a piece of dough, press it down with your palm so that it becomes flat, join the edges of the dough in the center and turn it over with the "seam" down, let it rest for 5 minutes, roll it into a thin layer, cut into even strips.
Step 5
Cut the sausage into thin circles, cut each circle in half. Place the sausage slices on top of the dough strips with the base along the long side of the strip, leaving some of the dough without the sausage at the end. Roll the strip with the filling into a roll, wind the free end of the dough down to make something like a bottom.
Step 6
Do the same with the rest of the sausage and dough, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, put the “roses” on a greased baking sheet or on special paper, bake for 15-20 minutes, until tender.
