Cold pressed technology

Sunflower seeds, selected for the production of vegetable oil, are first completely de-husked. The next stage is pressing the seeds at temperatures up to 50 ° C. This is accompanied by the release of oil. This process is cold pressed. The result is the most valuable and healthy vegetable oil. However, the yield of the finished product is small and reaches only 30 percent of the total mass of seeds. But in a natural product, all useful vitamins are preserved.

Oil extraction

Not all seed oil is cold pressed. After cold pressing, the cake is subjected to the next stage - extraction with gasoline. The resulting product is purified and deodorized to produce edible refined oil. However, it is difficult to call it useful.

Natural vegetable oil

Cold pressed oil is a natural, pure product. It has a rich orange color and a pronounced scent of seeds. The oil itself is a little cloudy, opaque. As a result of storing such oil, the formation of a cloudy sediment at the bottom of the container is permissible. This is not a sign that the product is spoiled; on the contrary, it contains healthy substances. Sludge is a natural process for the oil obtained in this way. Natural vegetable little deteriorates quickly. Over time, it starts to taste bitter.

The bright color of sunflower oil is given by vitamin A, which is part of its composition. Refined transparent little goes through the clarification process, while the vitamin is completely removed. This once again confirms the fact that it is a natural product that brings benefits to the body, which helps to normalize vision, fat metabolism, stabilize the work of the gastrointestinal tract, prevent heart disease, and slow down aging.

The disadvantage of cold-pressed sunflower oil is that when frying, the product foams and burns a lot. Therefore, it is better to use it as a salad dressing or an additive to cereals.

It is not only sunflower that is cold pressed. Any vegetable oil can be obtained in a similar way: olive, sesame, flaxseed, corn. Therefore, when choosing oil in a store, always carefully look at the label.
