French fries are delicious and easy to prepare. To make the right fries, you need to follow some rules. You will get a better dish than McDonalds.
It is necessary
-
- potatoes - 6 pcs;
- vegetable oil - 1/3 bottle.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, peel and rinse the potato tubers. Wipe the peeled potatoes dry with a towel. But do not use paper, as it will tear quickly, and "scraps" from it will remain on the potatoes. Removing them is very difficult.
Step 2
Cut each potato into strips. But watch out for its thickness. It should be approximately 0.5-1 cm. Well, the length, respectively, will be equal to the length of the potato tuber.
Step 3
Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan or deep skillet. Its amount depends on how much you will cook potatoes, but the consumption should not exceed 1/3 of the bottle. Heat a skillet or saucepan to the boiling point of the oil.
Step 4
Dip the potatoes in small portions in boiling oil. If you are using a saucepan, the oil will cover the potatoes completely. If you take a frying pan, then - partially. When cooking in a pan, you need to watch the potatoes and turn them over so that they are fried evenly. The batches should be small, otherwise the potatoes will lower the temperature of the oil and will not fry properly.
Step 5
Remove it and discard it in a colander to drain the remaining oil. At this time, load in the next batch of future fries. Small portions of potatoes are usually made, as they are good hot.
Step 6
After that, put all the potatoes in the boiling oil again. Increase heat to maximum. When it turns light brown, discard it in a colander and let the remaining vegetable oil drain off. Season the potatoes with salt to taste. Bon Appetit.
