  • - premium flour - about 500 g;
  • - milk - 250 ml;
  • - chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • - dry yeast - 10 g or pressed - 30 g;
  • - cabbage - 1 kg;
  • - large onions - 1 pc.;
  • - butter - 50 g;
  • - sunflower oil - 50 ml;
  • - sugar - 4 tbsp. l.;
  • - salt - 1.5 tsp;
  • - ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp;
  • - parchment paper;
  • - baking sheet.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, we will do the cabbage filling. Remove the husk from the onions and the top leaves from the cabbage. Cut the onion into thin half rings and divide them in half, and chop the cabbage into narrow strips.

Step 2

Take a frying pan and heat it up well. Then melt a piece of butter in it, lay the onion and sauté until golden brown. Meanwhile, add 1 teaspoon of salt to the cabbage and stir. It is best to mash the cabbage and salt with your hands to make it more juicy.

Step 3

After that, transfer the cabbage to the onion, add black ground pepper, pour in 50 ml of water and stir. Then lower the temperature to a low value, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4

At the end of the allotted time, beat 1 chicken egg in a separate bowl. Transfer to a skillet and toss with the cabbage and onions. Then simmer the filling for about 3 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the pan with the finished filling from the stove and set it aside for now. In the meantime, let's make the dough. First you need to prepare a yeast dough. Heat the milk until warm.

Step 6

In a large bowl, stir the milk with sugar, yeast and 100 grams of flour until smooth. Cover with a lid and put in a warm place to come up for half an hour.

Step 7

After the time has passed, pour the brew into a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the remaining egg and half a teaspoon of salt and transfer to the dough bowl. Add sunflower oil and 350 g flour. It is better to add flour in parts - depending on the variety, the required amount may vary. Knead a soft dough that should not stick to your hands, and put in a warm place for 30-40 minutes to increase in size.

Step 8

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease with any oil. Pinch off a piece from the dough (about 1/5 part) - it will be needed to decorate the cake. And from the rest, roll out the layer and transfer it to a baking sheet.

Step 9

Spread the cabbage filling evenly on top and tuck the edges. And from the remaining dough, form thin flagella and decorate the product in the form of a mesh (the decoration can be made in any shape to your liking). Brush the top with whipped yolk if desired.

Step 10

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and send the baking sheet with the product into it for half an hour. When the top of the cake acquires a beautiful ruddy color, check its readiness with a toothpick - if the tip is dry, then the pastry can be taken out. Cabbage tart is best served while warm, along with sour cream, or as a side dish.
