Observant humanity more than 5000 years ago noticed the healing properties of newly sprouted seeds. There were diseases and wars in those days, but the means to resist them were few. In those distant times, seedlings of seeds showed excellent results in the treatment of diseases and wounds. So that their powerful healing effect has been carried by human memory to our days. The relevance of the use of seed sprouts to enhance immunity persists even now, in the age of developed pharmaceuticals.
It is necessary
- - seeds to choose from - wheat, rye, oats, sunflower, green buckwheat, mung bean, peas, sesame seeds, flax, amaranth, milk thistle, pumpkin, black rice;
- - a seed germinator or a liter jar with a lid;
- - water;
- - hydrogen peroxide 3%
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase seeds from a retail outlet. Now they are available in almost all hypermarkets and large retail chains in the departments for healthy food. In retail chains, a documentary check of the source of origin of seeds and their quality is carried out. For the absence of salts of heavy metals, radionuclides and so-called "pickling" substances used in agriculture to protect crops from bacterial and viral diseases. In this sense, you are acquiring exactly high quality seeds. But, besides this, the seeds have many other parameters that are not checked in retail chains, since this is not provided for by law. Ideally, it is worth purchasing seeds with a "BIO" certificate, which are accurately obtained without the use of any chemicals. Yes, they cost 2-3 times more, but it's worth it to get them.
Step 2
It will be great if you regularly introduce germinated seeds into your personal or family diet. At least 50-100 g per day for an adult weighing 80 kg. Less is required for children. Depending on the age and weight of the child. It is easy to calculate by dividing 80 kg of the mass of an adult by the mass of a child in kilograms. So many times less need to give seedlings to children. And better - twice as much. After all, children grow up, and their need for vitamins and biologically active substances is higher than that of an adult. Try germinating different seeds. This is especially important for children, as it is necessary to determine which sprouts they like the most. Then the parents will have no problem eating seed sprouts by their children. Children will love to eat seedlings! From my childhood I remember that I really liked the delicious crispy sprouts of chickpeas and peas.
Step 3
Nowadays, many simple devices for germinating seeds are produced. They are called sprouters. There is also a foreign term - sprouters. These are simple devices, which are essentially a large glass in which seeds are placed and water is poured to swell the seeds. Nature arranged everything very simply and wisely. Dry seeds can be stored for a long time and endure various unfavorable conditions. When water and heat appear, the seeds will sprout and give life to new plants and a new harvest. When germinating seeds for food, a person does not need to wait for a new harvest. Sprouted seeds in 1-2-3 days themselves are the ultimate, healing food. Moreover, it is much more useful than if the seeds were ground into flour and then eaten. So, feel free to choose an inexpensive seed sprout if you intend to introduce seed sprouts into your diet. It costs about 1000 rubles. As a last resort, just use a 1L glass jar. But this is less convenient.
Step 4
Seeds are not a sterile object. There are quite a few different microorganisms on their surface. Some of them are harmless to humans, and some are undesirable. For example, molds, which can multiply in favorable conditions and spoil seedlings. This cannot be allowed. Molds often contain antibiotics and toxins that humans don't need at all. Therefore, it is necessary to get rid of surface microorganisms and mold on the seeds. The most effective way at home is to use a pharmacy 3% hydrogen peroxide. Seeds for germination must be immersed in an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes. During this time, microorganisms and molds on the surface of the seeds usually die. Then place the seeds in a seed germinator and cover with clean tap water. The amount of water is about 2-3 times the mass of seeds for germination. The seeds have a huge suction capacity - several hundred atmospheres and the seeds swell very quickly. Literally in 2-3 hours from the beginning of swelling, the embryo of seeds begins to germinate! And this process can no longer be stopped, up to the use of sprouts for food.
Step 5
After 5-10 hours, excess water can be drained, and swollen seeds must be rinsed. Preferably running water. This allows you to get rid of the remnants of microorganisms that could germinate on the surface of the seeds. It is advisable to limit the seed layer to a thickness of no more than 20-30 mm, so that the seedlings can breathe normally. This is important for their intensive growth, active formation of vitamins, biologically active substances and antioxidants. This is exactly what we need. Therefore, seed sprouts have a high healing power.
Step 6
At room temperature + 20-24 degrees Celsius, after 24 hours, cereals, for example, already have sprouts of 1-10 mm. This is our final medicinal food product. The sprouts should be eaten immediately. Directly alive. This is ideal. Ideally added to salads. No heat treatment that destroys all or part of the substances for which we germinate the seeds. Do not germinate more seeds than you can immediately consume. You don't need to refrigerate sprouts. Better in the evening the next day, start sprouting tomorrow's portion. There are many delicious recipes that can use live healing sprouts. Literally in 7-10 days you will feel a significant improvement in your well-being, and in 1-2 months a steady improvement in your health.
