According to experts from the World Health Organization, approximately 18% of the world's population is obese. According to statistics, every fifth child is overweight.
There are many reasons for the appearance of excess weight. In some cases, it is associated with disorders of the endocrine system or diseases of the digestive system. But most often the reason lies in improper diet, neglect of plant fiber, inability to control hunger, etc.
Often, parents themselves instill in their child the habit of constantly chewing, believing that the child is not eating enough. A spoon for mom, the second for dad … Sounds familiar, isn't it ?! To avoid health problems and overweight, in the first three years of a child's life, it is better to ignore semi-finished products, sweets in large quantities, chips, crackers and everything that contains food additives. These foods are addictive and high in calories.
If the child already eats such food, you need to try, if not completely remove, then at least minimize its presence on the children's table.
So, the child refuses the same products all the time, this may mean that he is uncomfortable with their use or they are simply not to his taste. In such cases, the baby needs to be offered a healthy alternative: cottage cheese, fruit, lean fish or chicken, etc. If the child urgently requires sweets and cookies with tea, you can safely send from the table until the next meal.
Sugar and sweets are also addictive. You should not keep the treat in the open, so as not to provoke the child. Preschoolers can already be given desserts for tea (not a lot and not often), but it is better for babies to replace them with dried fruits or berries, if there is no food allergy.
It is also not recommended to completely deprive kids of desserts, otherwise, they will absorb sweets stealthily, at a party or during school breaks. The ideal solution would be to give the treat in the morning and separately from the main meal.
Trying to wean a child from junk food, you should not eat it in the presence of a child, it is better to put chips and crackers on the far shelf.
Control over the finances of a student can also help eliminate spending on junk food, and the money saved can be put aside and purchased something that the child needs very much (a book, a coloring book, a typewriter or doll, a bicycle, etc.).
If the child does not visit the school cafeteria, then a container with the right snack must be present in the backpack.
