In good and warm weather, it is best to get out into nature. And so that it is not boring there, you can have a picnic by inviting relatives and good friends to it. For a large company, you need to carefully think over the menu so that no one gets hungry and at the same time does not have to throw away the leftover food.
What products can you take with you to a picnic
To feed 20 people to their fill without any extra effort, it is best to stock up on meat or a variety of meat products: sausages, homemade sausages, small sausages, or pork sausages. They can be fried over a fire - it will turn out very tasty, quickly and easily enough. The meat will need to be marinated beforehand. Based on the fact that an adult is unlikely to master more than 1 kg of food for the whole day, including vegetables and bread, 500 g of meat will be enough for each. And if you have many more hearty snacks, you can reduce the amount to 300 g.
In addition to meat products, you should stock up on fresh vegetables for the season. Cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and radishes are the best in nature. You can also grab some bell pepper. Well, potatoes or mushrooms are suitable as a side dish - they can be prepared in advance, baked in ash, wrapped in foil, or fried on skewers. One person should take at least 150 g of each of the listed products.
In addition, you can take with you hard-boiled eggs, at least 1 piece for each person, 300-500 g of lard, some pickles and more fresh herbs: dill, cilantro, green onions and parsley. It is also worth taking care of the bread - for 20 people it is better to take 4 rolls with you, especially if there are many men in the company. You can additionally take one baguette and use it to make pâté or cheese sandwiches. And if nipples are planned instead of barbecue, it is worth grabbing buns for each of them - then you can cook hot dogs.
It is worth taking care of sauces for meat and meat dishes. Better to take a couple of bottles of your favorite ketchup and 1 jar of white sauce. You can also bring along a bottle of Tkemali or Hot Tabasco.
For dessert, a variety of fresh fruits, hard biscuits or a pre-baked cake are best. The last dish should be enough for everyone at least one piece. But it is better not to take cakes, chocolates or fancy cakes for a picnic, especially in hot weather.
What drinks should you take for a picnic
You should take care of simple drinking water - 1 liter for each person. At the same time, most of the bottles of water should be without gas, especially if small children are at the picnic. For 20 people, it is also worth taking 5-6 liters of juice or compote. If the picnic is in cool weather, hot tea or coffee will not hurt - they must be poured into a thermos in advance. Well, the number and variety of alcoholic beverages depends only on the preferences of the picnic participants, so you should ask them about this.
