Pastila is a favorite delicacy of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers. It was prepared from apples of late varieties, rather sour. Added honey and berries to the recipe. In our time, the cooking recipe has changed somewhat, but the love for marshmallows has remained.

- granulated sugar - 430 g,
- salt - ¼ tsp,
- chicken egg - 2 pcs.,
- vanillin - 1 tablespoon,
- molasses or syrup - 1 tbsp.,
- potato starch - 25 g,
- icing sugar - 40 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour gelatin with cold boiled water (0.5 tbsp.), Stir, leave for 20 minutes.

Place granulated sugar, molasses, salt and water in a saucepan. Heat everything over a fire for 7-8 minutes. During this time, melt the sugar, remove from heat, add gelatin. You do not need to stir, the gelatin should melt.
Step 3
Wash the eggs, separate the whites from them. Beat them until fluffy. Add a mass of gelatin and sugar to the proteins cooked to the peaks. Continue whisking at high speed.
Step 4
To increase the total mass, add vanillin. Whisk the semi-finished product again, try to get a thick mass.
Step 5
Cover a baking sheet with baking paper, grease it with oil. Pour the whipped mixture, spread over the entire surface. Leave the baking sheet with the future marshmallow for 4-8 hours in the kitchen. You don't need to cover it.
Step 6
Next, prepare a mixture of starch and powdered sugar. Sprinkle it on all sides of the marshmallow.
