Kneli is a dish prepared in the form of balls, like meatballs. Many are accustomed to the fact that dumplings are made from meat or fish, but you can also make very tasty curd balls.
It is necessary
- - powdered sugar for dressing;
- - butter (44 g);
- - freshly squeezed lemon juice (two tablespoons);
- - granulated sugar (two tablespoons);
- - ground cinnamon (one pinch);
- - vanilla sugar (two tablespoons);
- - two chicken eggs;
- - starch (16 g);
- - homemade cottage cheese (260 g);
- - a can of canned cherries (720 g);
- - coconut flakes (120 g);
- - bread crumbs (125 g).
Instructions
Step 1
Grind butter with ground cinnamon and granulated sugar. Stir the chicken eggs into the curd one at a time, add the breadcrumbs to the egg-curd mass and mix again. Infuse the mass for ten minutes.
Step 2
Brown the coconut flakes in a dry frying pan, then transfer them to a small plate and cool at room temperature.
Step 3
Throw the canned cherries into a colander, collect all the juice and add it to the water so that a 260 ml liquid is obtained. Dissolve starch in liquid (three tablespoons). Pour the remaining diluted cherry juice and lemon juice into a saucepan, add vanilla sugar, and bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 4
Remove the container from the heat, stir in the berries. Form twelve dumplings from the curd mass and boil them for ten minutes in salted boiling water. Remove the ready-made dumplings from the water with a slotted spoon, cool and dry.
Step 5
Dip the prepared dumplings in coconut and serve as a dessert with cherry sauce. Sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired.
