Zucchini is a truly versatile product that goes well with meat, poultry, fish, mushrooms, vegetables, all kinds of sauces and spices. That is why at least one garden bed on the site of a modern Russian summer resident is occupied with these funny and incredibly tasty "puzans". You can cook anything you want from zucchini, especially if you have such a useful device as a slow cooker at hand.
Stewed zucchini in sour cream
Unlike the traditional way of creating culinary masterpieces, zucchini dishes in a multicooker retain their taste and useful properties. The easiest way to cook zucchini is to stew them in sour cream.
The recipe calls for the use of ingredients such as:
- zucchini - 1 kg;
- onions - 2 pcs.;
- sour cream - 1 glass;
- starch - 1. l.;
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- dill - 1 bunch;
- salt and pepper to taste.
Wash the zucchini, peel them off, remove the seeds and cut into 2 cm thick circles, divide each in half. Peel the onion, wash, cut into half rings.
Turn on the multicooker, set the "Fry" mode, grease the bowl of the appliance with vegetable oil and put the onions in it. With constant stirring, fry the onion until golden brown, pour the zucchini into the multicooker, add salt and pepper, mix the ingredients thoroughly, close the multicooker with a lid and turn on the "Stew" mode.
Simmer zucchini in a slow cooker for 15 minutes. After this time, open the lid of the appliance, pour the sour cream mixed with starch over the vegetables and add finely chopped herbs to the zucchini dish prepared in a slow cooker.
Zucchini caviar in a slow cooker
The recipe for zucchini caviar in a slow cooker is also quite original, involving the use of products such as:
- zucchini - 2 kg;
- carrots - 300 g;
- onions - 300 g;
- tomatoes - 300 g;
- Bulgarian pepper - 300 g;
- tomato paste - 3 tbsp. l.;
- salt - 1 tbsp. l.;
- vegetable oil for frying.
In order to cook squash caviar in a slow cooker, which tastes like a store, use large vegetables with ripe seeds.
To cook zucchini in a slow cooker this way, wash the vegetables thoroughly. Chop the carrots on a coarse grater, peel the seeds and cut into strips, finely chop the onion. Remove the skin from the tomatoes, peel the zucchini from the peel and seeds, cut the vegetables into small cubes.
The first part of the zucchini caviar recipe is the alternate frying of vegetables in a multicooker with the lid open and the "Fry" mode set:
- carrots - 10 minutes;
- onions - 5 minutes;
- pepper - 7 minutes;
- tomatoes - 10 minutes.
Having done the frying, put the zucchini in the multicooker bowl, close the device with the lid, cook for 20 minutes in the "Fry" mode, stirring occasionally.
Add fried vegetables, tomato paste and salt to the zucchini, cover the multicooker with a lid and set the "Stew" mode for 15 minutes. Grind the prepared vegetable mixture using a submersible blender until a homogeneous consistency is formed, boil the resulting zucchini caviar in the "Steam cooking" mode for 5 minutes.
Zucchini caviar prepared according to this recipe in a slow cooker can be used as a preparation for the winter or as a snack for a festive and everyday feast.
