Grapefruit is a very healthy and tasty fruit. Basically, connoisseurs eat only the pulp, and throw away the peel, but in vain, because you can make delicious candied fruits from it.
It is necessary
- - 2 grapefruits;
- - 800 gr. icing sugar;
- - 1 liter of water.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the grapefruit into 4 pieces. We eat the pulp, since only the peel is needed for the recipe.
Step 2
Cut the crusts into small pieces. Throw in boiling water, as soon as it boils, take out with a slotted spoon. We repeat this action 4 times so that all the bitterness comes out of the crusts.
Step 3
In a saucepan in 1 liter of water we dilute 600 gr. icing sugar. As soon as the sugar dissolves, put the grapefruit peels into the syrup, bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
Step 4
We take out the crusts from the syrup (we save the syrup for cocktails or other culinary experiments). Pour the remaining powdered sugar (200 g) into a bowl and put the grapefruit peels into it. Mix very thoroughly. A delicious and healthy dessert is ready!
