You don't need to have any special culinary skills to cook chicken thighs. It is enough to choose the right seasonings and spices, and the result will be a very tasty and juicy dish. One of the most successful flavor combinations is chicken with garlic and thyme.
It is necessary
- Ingredients for 4 persons:
- - 8 chicken thighs;
- - coarse salt and black pepper to taste;
- - 40-50 g of butter;
- - 40 peeled garlic cloves;
- - 350 ml of chicken broth;
- - a tablespoon of dried thyme;
- - 2 tablespoons of flour;
- - 30 ml of milk.
Instructions
Step 1
Rub the chicken on all sides with salt and pepper. In a skillet with a thick bottom, melt the butter over medium heat. Put the chicken thighs skin side down in the pan, fry for 2-3 minutes, turn over and fry for another 2-3 minutes, transfer the chicken to a plate.
Step 2
Add the garlic to the pan, stirring constantly, fry it for 4-5 minutes until it becomes golden brown.
Step 3
Pour chicken broth into the pan and bring it to a boil. Return the chicken thighs to the pan and season with thyme. We close the pan with a lid, reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer the chicken for 25-35 minutes (depending on the size of the thighs).
Step 4
A few minutes before the dish is ready, mix milk and flour in a bowl. We transfer the chicken to a dish, and pour the mixture of milk and flour into the pan. Stir the sauce for 1-2 minutes to thicken it, salt and pepper to taste if necessary. Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve it immediately.
