It is necessary

  • - 4 kg tomato,
  • - 1 kg of onions,
  • - 1.5 kg of carrots,
  • - 0.5 cups (200 ml) sugar
  • - 1 cup (200 ml) vegetable oil,
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of salt
  • - 6 bay leaves,
  • - 1, 5 teaspoons of peppercorns,
  • - 1, 5 Art. tablespoons of vinegar essence,
  • - 5 kg of mackerel.

Instructions

Step 1

Ingredients for 30 servings. Rinse the tomatoes, pat dry with paper towels and coarsely grate (discard the skin). Peel and chop the onions in medium half rings. Coarsely grate the peeled carrots.

Step 2

Cut off the heads from the mackerel, remove all the insides, then cut into fillets (do not remove the skin) and rinse. Cut the fillet into small pieces.

Step 3

Transfer the prepared vegetables to a large saucepan, salt, sugar and add odorless vegetable or sunflower oil, mix. Place the pot of vegetables on the fire. After it boils, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Step 4

After the specified time (1 hour 20 minutes), put bay leaves and peppercorns in a saucepan with vegetables. Put the pieces of mackerel, stir, simmer over low heat for 40 minutes (cover the pan with a lid), gently stir occasionally.

Step 5

Then add 1, 5 tbsp to the fish pan. tablespoons of vinegar, mix. If necessary, you can add salt, simmer for another ten minutes.

Step 6

Prepare the jars. Put the boiling fish in vegetable sauce in jars, cover with lids, cover with a blanket, leave to cool completely and put away for storage. You can serve mackerel with a side dish or as an independent dish.
