If you want to start or end your day like a true Spaniard, make a Spanish omelet, aka tortilla. This dish is perfect for breakfast and dinner. Tortilla is quick to cook, has a delicate flavor and is low in calories.

- - 4 eggs;
- - 3 potatoes;
- - 1 onion;
- - 2 tomatoes;
- - 2 tbsp. l. olive oil;
- - 4 pitted olives;
- - black pepper, salt to taste;
- - a bunch of greens.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the potatoes and peel them. Cut it into extremely thin slices up to 5 mm thick.
Step 2
Pour olive oil into the skillet. Do not spare this ingredient: the oil should completely cover the entire bottom of the pan. After the oil has warmed up well, place the sliced potatoes in the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Fry the potatoes until light golden brown. This usually takes no more than 10-15 minutes. Stir the potatoes periodically to prevent them from overcooking. It is not necessary to bring it to full readiness; in 10-15 minutes of heat treatment, it should have time to soften and slightly change its color.
Step 4
Drain excess oil from the skillet with potatoes. However, you do not need to drain all the oil, leave quite a bit for further cooking.
Step 5
Prepare your eggs. To do this, beat them with salt. Chop the tomatoes and onions. Add them to the potatoes, sprinkle with chopped herbs and cover with beaten eggs. They should completely cover the potatoes. Mix everything.
Step 6
Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the future omelet over low heat until tender. This usually takes 15 minutes.
Step 7
Place the omelet on a plate, cut into portions and serve. Top with a Spanish omelet can be sprinkled with herbs and olives. It is served both cold and hot. Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers will be a good addition to such an omelet.
