It is better to cook berry-wine sauce from blackberries - it turns out more aromatic. This sauce is suitable not only for chicken breast, but also for duck. It turns out delicious, and most importantly - it will not be difficult to prepare such a dish.

It is necessary

  • - 6 chicken breasts;
  • - 2 glasses of water;
  • - a glass of white wine;
  • - 1 onion and carrot, celery;
  • - bay leaf, salt, black pepper.
  • For berry sauce:
  • - 2 cups blackberries;
  • - a glass of red wine;
  • - 1 small onion;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
  • - sugar to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Pour water and wine into a saucepan or skillet. Add chopped onion, bay leaves, celery, and thinly sliced carrots. Season with pepper and salt to taste, simmer for 5 minutes together.

Step 2

Add washed chicken breasts to a bowl, bring to a boil, cook for 15 minutes, or until chicken is tender. After that, remove the dishes from the stove, cool slightly.

Step 3

For the sauce in a blender, beat the blackberries until smooth. Strain the berry mixture, the juice should be about one glass.

Step 4

Fry the chopped onion in olive oil, add the berry mixture, pour in the red wine. Add sugar to taste. Cook until the sauce is half cooked. Then cool it down.

Step 5

Place chicken breasts on plates, top with berry-wine sauce. This dish can be served slightly warm.
