From year to year, salads are prepared for the festive table "Olivier", "herring under a fur coat", "mimosa". To abandon them means to change traditions. You should not refuse, you can just come up with a different feed or add a new ingredient.

  • salted herring - 1 pc.;
  • potatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • chicken egg - 5 pcs.;
  • beets - 2 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise - 200 g;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • parsley - a bunch;
  • milk - 150 ml;
  • flour - 2-3 tbsp.;
  • sugar - 0.5 tbsp;
  • butter - 30 g;
  • vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons;
  • salt - a pinch;
  • soda - 1/4 tsp

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the pancake dough first. Combine two eggs in a deep bowl using a whisk or fork. Add a pinch of salt and sugar to taste. Pour in vegetable oil, stir. Gently add flour and baking soda into the mixture, stir, start baking pancakes. Grease each finished pancake with butter, fold in a pile.

Step 2

Boil beets, potatoes, carrots and eggs in advance. Cool and clean all products. Next, you need to peel the garlic cloves, crush them with the flat side of a knife, chop finely.

Step 3

Grate beets, mix with garlic and some mayonnaise. Use salt according to your individual taste.

Step 4

Peel the herring, free it from the bones, cut the pulp into small pieces. Place the pieces of herring in the first layer on a dish. Then rub the potatoes on top, cover it with a layer of mayonnaise.

Step 5

The next layer is grated carrots. Grate three hard-boiled eggs and place on top of the carrot layer. Spread mayonnaise again.

Step 6

Next, get busy with the preparation of "roses". Put the beetroot mixture on a pancake, roll into a roll. Use a sharp knife to cut the tube into 1, 5 cm pieces. Place the pancake and beetroot “roses” on the surface of the salad. Garnish generously with parsley. Serve the prepared salad to the table.
