Curd is a popular product in many cuisines around the world. It is served as a separate dish; it is used for making cream, cheesecakes, pies, dumplings and cookies. The cottage cheese contains carnitine, which is good for the heart, and amino acids that normalize sleep. Curd biscuits are delicious, crumbly and melt in your mouth.

Cottage cheese cookies cook very quickly; this dish does not need many ingredients. It is enough to buy cottage cheese and baking powder for the dough, the rest of the products are in every home. To make cookies, you need 400 g of cottage cheese, 4 glasses of flour, a little vanillin, 3 tsp. baking powder for dough, 6-7 tbsp. sugar, 200 g butter, 3 tbsp. icing sugar. From this amount of products, about 40 cookies will be obtained.

Before preparing the dough, you need to take out the butter and hold it at room temperature. In a deep bowl, mix cottage cheese, butter, sugar and vanillin. The mass is rubbed well so that it becomes homogeneous. You can use a fork or blender to do this. Then add the egg, mix and sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. The dough will be elastic, but not sticky. Add a little more flour if necessary.

The dough is rolled out on a table sprinkled with flour, cut into squares, circles or any figures. You can also make envelopes: cut out the circles and fold them twice. The approximate thickness of the dough is 7-8 mm. The blanks are laid out on a baking sheet covered with parchment.

Curd cookies are baked at 180 degrees for 25 minutes. During this time, the dough will rise slightly and turn golden. When the cookies have cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar. By the way, this pastry can be cooked without an egg, but in this case you will need less flour. And if you replace part of the flour with cocoa, you get chocolate cookies.
