It is necessary

  • For 6 beef steaks:
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of tomato paste;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of pepper paste;
  • - 2-3 branches of rosemary;
  • - salt, black pepper;
  • - 2 tbsp. hot water;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of grape vinegar;
  • - a pinch of hot red pepper and thyme (oregano).

Instructions

Step 1

Quickly fry the meat on both sides in a hot skillet to make it juicy, as all the juice will remain inside and the meat will be tender and tasty. Place a heavy-bottomed skillet over high heat and heat it well for 4-8 minutes (depending on the pan) until it starts to smoke slightly.

Step 2

Put some vegetable oil on a hot skillet and add the pieces of meat. Fry for half a minute until golden brown. Turn over and fry the other side.

Step 3

Prepare the tomato sauce: dilute tomato and pepper paste in a glass in hot water and add grape vinegar to make the meat more tender. It is imperative to take hot water, since cold water makes the meat hard.

Step 4

Place the sautéed steaks in an ovenproof dish. Add salt, black pepper, sprinkle with thyme and hot red pepper, toss in the rosemary sprigs.

Step 5

Pour the tomato sauce over the meat. Pour the remaining glass of hot water over the top. Cover with foil and bake in oven at 240 ° C for 75 minutes. If there is no grape vinegar, then the meat should be baked for 90 minutes. The effect will be the same.

Step 6

Turn over cooked steaks to absorb the sauce well. Cover again with foil and let it brew for 10 minutes in a hot oven. Pour the sauce over the steaks when serving.
