Whipped up cod in sour cream

When there is very little time to prepare a healthy, satisfying and at the same time delicious dish, you can stew cod with vegetables in sour cream. It only takes 20 minutes to create such a treat. To prepare two servings, you need the following foods:

- 2 cod fillets;

- 2 medium sized potatoes;

- 1 carrot;

- leek;

- 2 tbsp. spoons of sour cream;

- 4 allspice peas;

- salt and black pepper to taste;

- ½ bunch of green onions.

Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut into rings that are not too thin. Place on the bottom of a saucepan or heavy-walled saucepan. Salt and pepper a little. Sprinkle with coarsely chopped leeks on top. Wash the fish fillets and cut into large pieces, place them on a vegetable pillow and salt. Add allspice and fill everything with water at room temperature - it should cover the ingredients by only 1 cm. Put on the fire and bring to a boil, then reduce the flame, simmer under the lid for 10 minutes. Add sour cream and cook for the same amount of time. Arrange the finished dish on plates and sprinkle with chopped green onions.

Braised cod with fennel and thyme

When you want to enjoy a more refined dish, you can stew the cod in sour cream with the addition of shrimp, wine and herbs.

Ingredients:

- 4 cod fillets;

- 250 g frozen shrimp;

- 5 sprigs of thyme;

- 3 tbsp. spoons of sour cream;

- 3 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;

- 2 fennel;

- 2, 5 glasses of fish broth;

- 150 ml of dry white wine;

- salt to taste;

- dill greens;

- 2 bay leaves.

Defrost shrimp at room temperature and peel. Cut the cod fillet into small pieces. Cut the fennel into thin slices and fry it in a saucepan in olive oil. Pour white wine into it and evaporate by half. Add hot fish broth, and after a few minutes add sour cream. When the sauce boils, add the shrimp and cod pieces. Season with salt to taste and simmer under a closed lid over low heat for 10 minutes.

After the allotted time, add the bay leaf for just a few minutes. Then discard it, and put thyme sprigs in a dish. Remove from heat and let it brew under the lid for 5 minutes. Serve in deep bowls, sprinkled with parsley. Oven-baked potatoes or asparagus with aromatic herbs are best served as a side dish. Well, the fish prepared in this way should be washed down with white wine.
