You can make meatballs, cutlets or meatballs from it, prepare filling for pies or pancakes, make an appetizing casserole or cook sauce. It is necessary

  • Potatoes with meatballs:
  • - 400 g of minced meat from a mixture of pork and beef;
  • - 1 small onion;
  • - 6 potatoes;
  • - butter;
  • - 0.5 cups of milk or cream;
  • - salt;
  • - Bay leaf;
  • - black peppercorns;
  • - parsley and dill.
  • Casserole with potatoes and zucchini:
  • - 500 g minced beef;
  • - 1 medium-sized zucchini;
  • - 5 large potatoes;
  • - 2 cloves of garlic;
  • - 150 g of cheese;
  • - salt;
  • - freshly ground black pepper;
  • - 1 teaspoon of a mixture of dry Provencal herbs;
  • - odorless vegetable oil.
  • Meat sauce:
  • - 300 g of any minced meat;
  • - 200 g of canned tomatoes in their own juice;
  • - 2 cloves of garlic;
  • - dried rosemary and basil;
  • - salt;
  • - freshly ground black pepper;
  • - vegetable oil for frying.

Instructions

Step 1

Potatoes with meatballs

Pass the finished minced meat through a meat grinder along with peeled onions. Season to taste and roll into small meatballs. Heat a small amount of butter in a skillet and fry the meatballs in it until golden brown.

Step 2

Peel the potatoes and chop coarsely. Put it in a saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Add salt, black peppercorns and bay leaf, then lay out the meatballs. After 5 minutes, pour in the milk, cover the pan with a lid and cook until the potatoes are soft. Place a tablespoon of butter in a saucepan. Sprinkle chopped herbs over the potatoes and meatballs before serving.

Casserole with potatoes and zucchini

Peel and chop the garlic. Heat refined vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the garlic in it until golden brown. Place the minced meat in the skillet. Stir it with a wooden spatula and fry the meat until tender. Break up the lumps thoroughly, add salt and dry Provencal herbs. Peel the potatoes and cut very thinly. For this, it is convenient to use a vegetable peeler. Grate the zucchini on a coarse grater, chop the cheese in the same way.

Grease a refractory mold with high sides with vegetable oil and place potato slices in it in the form of scales. Season the potatoes with salt and sprinkle with ground black pepper. Spread the minced meat on top and cover it with a layer of grated zucchini. Lightly season the vegetables and cover them with cheese. Place the dish in a preheated 200C oven and cook the casserole until the potatoes are tender. If it is still firm and the cheese is browned heavily, cover the tin with foil.

Step 5

Meat sauce

If you like pasta, make a quick meat sauce for it. In a skillet with heated vegetable oil, fry the chopped garlic, add the minced meat and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 7 minutes. Put canned tomatoes in their own juice in a pan, salt and pepper, add dried rosemary and basil. Simmer the mixture until most of the liquid has evaporated. Pour the sauce over the freshly cooked pasta and sprinkle the grated Parmesan on the dish.
