It is necessary

  • - 2 fresh mackerel;
  • - 1 liter of water;
  • - 5 tbsp. tablespoons of salt;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
  • - 1 teaspoon of dry mustard;
  • - 20 pcs. peas of black pepper;
  • - 6 whole carnations;
  • - 10 g coriander;
  • - 5 bay leaves;
  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • - 1 tbsp. spoon of 9% vinegar.

Instructions

Step 1

Pour 1 liter of water into a saucepan, bring it to a boil. Add all the necessary spices to the water, boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove the pan from heat, add vegetable oil and vinegar. Cover and refrigerate the mackerel marinade to about room temperature.

Step 2

Cut off the head of the fish, remove the entrails, remove the black films too. Rinse under running water. Transfer the prepared fish to a wide bowl, cover with chilled marinade.

Step 3

Cover the fish with a plate on top, note that the fish must be completely immersed in the marinade. Leave in the cold for 2 days. You can put it in the refrigerator, and if it's cold autumn or winter - on the balcony. Mackerel can be kept in the marinade for up to 4 days - it all depends on how spicy you want to make the fish.

Step 4

Before serving, it is recommended to hang the fish so that the marinade stacks from it - this way it turns out tastier. Rub on top with oil, in this form it is no longer stored for a long time, so try to consume the fish faster.

Step 5

Spicy mackerel is ideal as a stand-alone snack, but you can experiment if you want by including it in salads and other cold appetizers for the holiday table.
